School Support for KS1 & KS2

Sarah is passionate about improving the quality of art provision in primary education and works with a range of education providers- from non specialist BEd & PGCE students, right through to experienced subject leaders..

She runs a number of courses annually in Gloucestershire, which are open to all teachers. Details and book information will appear on this page when available.

Sarah is very happy to tailor her support to the needs of the setting; whether it is reviewing the art curriculum entirely, looking at improving progression in drawing skills, or developing staff confidence. She can spent time 1-1 with a subject leader or deliver whole school INSET or staff meetings. She prefers meetings to be practical if possible… staff often comment how lovely it is to have time to explore ideas before modelling for pupils and find what can be an intimidating subject to teach, feel much more achievable.

I just wanted to say thank you such a great INSET morning. I really liked the way you worked with our team. Lots of practical, lots of looking at artist work moving into skills work, lots of art specific vocabulary explained. Having the art books will be a great way for staff to recall their learning too. Thank you! Because you have recent teaching experience the staff really felt your advice about practicalities rang true/was valuable too. It was a great morning.
